Dr. Jerome Ward

Dr. Jerome Ward planted Destiny Church Riverside four years ago and has served in ministry for over 30 years. He holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Leadership from the University of Alabama, a Master’s in English Education from the University of North Alabama, and a Bachelor’s in History and English Education from Athens State University. He currently serves as an English Professor at Calhoun Community College.
His greatest joy in ministry is leading others to Christ and walking alongside believers as they grow in their faith.
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.”  — Isaiah 40:31
Dr. Ward and his wife, Tracy — who serves as Minister of Worship — have four children: Aden (Sophie), Ty (Taylor), Eli (Emilee), and Dixie Anne.

​Stephen Blake Korpi

Stephen has been serving at Destiny Church Riverside since its founding. Called to youth ministry in 2017, he returned to Alabama to answer that call and has been investing in the next generation ever since. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Math Technology and a Master’s degree in Education.
His greatest joy in ministry is witnessing souls born again and seeing people hungry for God.
“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.”  — Galatians 2:20
Stephen and his wife, Heather, have three children: Blakely, Ellie, and Bradley. He enjoys basketball, disc golf, ultimate frisbee, and games with friends.

Emilee Grace Ward

Emilee’s greatest joy is watching children worship and grow in their faith. Witnessing a child come to the Lord with wholehearted trust is a constant reminder that childlike faith is exactly what all of us need.
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”  — John 15:5
Emilee is married to her high school sweetheart, Eli Ward, and has the privilege of serving alongside her father-in-law and mother-in-law, whose walk with Christ she deeply admires.
Outside of ministry, she enjoys time with family and friends, crafting, reading, and playing with her puppy Rosie and cat Evee.
